The Pilot: Addressing the Increasing Energy Demands of Data Centers
Energy consumption in data centers has skyrocketed from modest beginnings to a significant portion of global electricity use. The growing demand for cloud computing, big data processing, AI, and cryptocurrency mining continues to drive up energy consumption, posing both challenges and opportunities for future energy efficiency and sustainability.

During their time working together at an industrial grade power plant in Saudi Arabia, Alexis and Iyad witnessed widespread inefficiencies in the energy production and consumption process, which led to their vision and development of the A&I Power Booster.
The A&I Power Booster is patented, proven, and holds the promise of aligning increasing electricity needs with environmental sustainability. The pilot, which will be deployed at a major telecom data center in Dubai, is poised to increase energy efficiency within the data center by at least 20%. To put this in perspective, the pilot project is projected to reduce electricity costs by a staggering $236 million annually.
The cost savings for organizations are enormous, and the environmental benefits of reduced electricity consumption are essential for the population.
The Impact
Data centers currently account for 4% of total electricity consumption in the U.S. They often run at full capacity 24/7, meaning massive numbers of high-performance processors and cooling systems must work overtime, leading to constant energy consumption. This requires significant computational power and requires a huge amount of electricity.
The sheer scale of computation required by AI models and cryptocurrency mining operations means that the demand for energy will only continue to rise.
The success of the A&I pilot will pave the way for wider implementation across the telecom company’s energy-dependent facilities – and beyond.
